Intestinal Permeability Test

Description

The intestinal permeability test examines small intestinal absorption and barrier function in the bowel. The test involves taking two sugar solutions (lactulose and mannitol) and then collecting a urine sample over the next 6 hours.

  • Mannitol Percent Recovery, and
  • Lactulose/Mannitol Ratio.
